What is Kurom Marketplace?

Kurom Marketplace is an online platform for buying and selling goods and services in Ghana.

How do I sign up?

You can sign with email or phone number.

Is Kurom Marketplace safe?

Yes, we prioritize security with encryption and verification measures.

What can I sell?

You can sell a wide range of products and services, subject to our terms.

Are there fees?

There are no fees on successful transactions.

How can I get support?

Reach out via email, live chat, or support ticket for assistance.

Can I leave feedback?

Yes, both buyers and sellers can leave feedback after transactions

Is Kurom free to use?

Yes. Browsing, posting ads, chatting and opening a shop are free. Kurom Shops pay a 5% commission plus Paystack’s payment fee only on orders paid through Kurom checkout, deducted when Kurom pays the shop after delivery. Optional extras — promoting a listing, or Kurom Premium — help you get seen faster.

Do I need the Kurom app?

No, the website does everything. The app adds instant notifications for new messages and offers. Get it from the download page.

Is Kurom available outside Ghana?

Kurom is built for Ghana — cedis, mobile money and local delivery. Buyers and sellers need to be in Ghana.

How do I get the blue verified badge?

Open your profile and tap Verify Profile. You confirm your identity with your Ghana Card. Verified members get a blue tick on their profile, listings and shop, which buyers trust more.

I forgot my password — what now?

On the login page tap Forgot password. We email you a code to set a new one. If you signed up with your phone number, sign in with the phone option instead.

How do I change my name or photo?

Go to Edit profile. Tap the photo to change it. A clear, real photo makes buyers more comfortable dealing with you.

How do I delete my account?

Open your profile, tap Settings, then Delete account. Your listings are removed and your account is closed.

How do I post an ad?

Tap Post (or Submit Ad), pick a category, add clear photos, write a specific title and description, set your price and location, and publish. Most ads go live within minutes after a quick check.

What can’t I sell?

Anything illegal, counterfeit or dangerous: weapons, drugs, prescription medicine, stolen goods, and adult content. Listings that break the rules are removed and repeat offenders are banned.

Why was my ad rejected?

Usually blurry or copied photos, missing details, the wrong category, a banned item, or a price that looks like a scam. Fix it and post again — we tell you the reason in your notifications.

How do I edit, mark as sold or delete an ad?

Open the listing from your profile. As the owner you’ll see Edit, Mark as sold and Delete.

How do I get more views?

Use bright photos, a specific title (brand, model, condition), an honest description and a fair price. You can also Promote an ad to the top of search, or join Kurom Premium (GH₵100/month), which promotes all your listings.

Can I post the same item twice?

Please don’t — duplicates are removed and can get your account flagged. If you have several of the same item, set the quantity in one ad.

How do I contact a seller?

Tap Chat on a listing, or Call / WhatsApp if the seller shares a number. Keeping the conversation in Kurom chat gives you a record if anything goes wrong.

How do I pay?

Shop items with Add to cart are paid online with mobile money or card through Paystack, and are covered by Kurom buyer protection. For other ads you agree payment with the seller — cash on collection or mobile money.

What is Kurom buyer protection?

When you buy from a Kurom shop and pay online, Kurom holds your payment. The seller is only paid after your order is delivered and confirmed — like MoMo escrow. If it doesn’t arrive or isn’t as described, you get a refund.

Does Kurom deliver?

Yes. Shop orders are delivered by Kurom Delivery (KD) or by the seller (SD — seller delivery). Each listing shows whether it offers delivery or pick-up.

Does Kurom charge buyers fees?

No. You pay the seller’s price. Buyer protection covers shop orders paid online; for ads you arrange directly with a seller, only pay when you have seen the item.

Is mobile money safe?

Yes, if you only hand over an item after the payment shows in your own mobile money account. Never trust a screenshot or an SMS someone forwards to you.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, for shop orders paid online: if your order doesn’t arrive or isn’t as described, contact us with your order number and we refund you. For ads you pay a seller directly, refunds are between you and the seller — inspect before you pay.

How do I avoid scams?

Never pay before seeing the item, meet in a busy public place in daylight, check the item properly, keep the chat on Kurom and be wary of prices that are too good to be true. See our safety tips.

How do I report a listing or a user?

Use Report on the listing, or block and report the person from their profile. Our team reviews reports quickly.

Someone is harassing me. What should I do?

Block them from their profile and report them. Harassment gets accounts banned. If you feel unsafe, contact the police.

How can I tell if a seller is trustworthy?

Look for the blue verified tick, read their reviews, check how long they’ve been on Kurom and how many listings they have. You can also leave your own review on anyone’s profile.

I’m not getting notifications.

Allow notifications for Kurom in your phone’s settings, and make sure they’re on in the app (Profile → Settings).

How do I save listings for later?

Tap the heart on any listing. Your saved items are in your profile under Favourites.

How do I see listings near me?

Choose your region from the location picker in the menu. Listings from your area show first.

Can I buy airtime and data on Kurom?

Yes — in the Kurom app you can top up airtime and buy data bundles for any Ghanaian network.

What is a Kurom shop?

A shop (vendor) is a branded page for your business with your logo, all your products in one place, a shop badge, and online checkout for buyers.

How do I open a shop?

Go to your profile, choose My shops and tap New shop. It’s free. We review new shops, usually within 1–2 working days. Read getting started as a seller.

What is Kurom Premium?

Premium costs GH₵100 a month. Your listings are promoted to the top of search while you’re subscribed, plus extra support. You can join from your profile in the app.

Can I sell as both a person and a shop?

Yes. When you post an ad you choose whether it’s from you or from your shop.
